Child Individual Therapy

Play Therapy:
A child’s natural means of expression, “play,” is utilized as a therapeutic strategy to assist a young child to cope with emotional difficulties. The child uses play as a method of communicating symbolically what is happening in their lives and how they are feeling.

Child Therapy: Our therapists use games and other non-threatening activities to create an environment in which the child is able to connect with the therapist and verbalize their feelings.

Adolescent Individual Therapy

Adolescent Therapy: In a safe, trusting, therapeutic relationship, the adolescent is able to understand the causes of their distress and to learn coping skills to deal in healthy ways in the future.

Young Adult Individual Therapy

Young Adult Therapy: “Failure to Launch” is a syndrome which describes young adults who have not been successful in transitioning into adulthood. We are seeing an alarming number of young adults who have significant difficulties since graduating from high school. Often, they have undiagnosed or misdiagnosed psychiatric disorders which result in inability to be successful in school and maintaining a job. Their symptoms interfere with their success leaving them with extreme feelings of frustration and identifying themselves as failures.

Adult Individual Therapy

Adult Individual Therapy: As trust is developed between our therapists and our patient and together within the therapeutic relationship, they find the patient’s strengths. These strengths are utilized to find strategies, coping skills, and solutions.
