A true understanding and respect of the individual’s needs is necessary to ensure a successful treatment outcome. My work as a psychotherapist is to find what works for each person. I build on the strengths of the individual. There is no cookie-cutter approach to therapy.
The connection between client and therapist is a sacred place of trust. It is in this safe haven that the client develops a special bond with their therapist. It is through this powerful connection that the client is able to form a trusting relationship and begin their process of growth and recovery.
Connections among people is one of the fundamental needs of human beings. In times of crises, loneliness and despair, personal relationships through connections are a vital part of our recovery. Connections open up a window to recovery for individuals seeking help.
I believe in helping my patients find the answers and solutions through discovering their own strengths. I strongly believe that my patients’ inherent strengths will create the lasting changes and fulfillment that they want in their lives.
I also support the team approach and regularly work in collaboration with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and school educators.
